The West Harris County Regional Water Authority has entered Stage 1 of its drought contingency plan.
HCMUD 136 has elected to enter Stage 1 of its Drought Contingency Plan in response. Customers are asked to voluntarily reduce total water use by 10% compared to historical monthly use, increase conservation, and minimize non-essential water use. Outdoor automatic and sprinkler watering should be limited to a maximum of two times per week, and automatic sprinkler lawn watering will be prohibited between 10am and 6pm. Hose watering by hand and soaker hoses are not affected.
