At the Jackrabbit PUD meeting on 10/10/17 Jackrabbit’s engineer reported the important milestone that the Regional Waste Water Treatment Plant(WWTP) returned to commercial power on Oct 3rd.
- The rented generator will stay on site for standby use until the permanent standby generator is repaired.
- The Regional WWTP is operating and able to handle normal flows.
- The WWTP still has flood damaged electrical & control room equipment, which is being repaired as parts are received.
Based on this information there’s no reason to fear a sewage backup to our customers in Deerfield Village, Deerfield Park, and local businesses. Two HCMUD 136 directors attended the Jackrabbit meeting.
Edit 10/13/17: Neighborhood water restriction signs are being picked up/removed.
