Waste Water Treatment Plant flooded by Hurricane Harvey

September 1, 2017 by Brent W. Phelps

Due to flood water the Regional Wastewater Treatment Plant (WWTP) is non-operational. (WWTP FAQs)   All residents in HCMUD 136 (Deerfield) and those in Barker Cypress MUD, HCMUD 6, HCMUD 183, HCMUD 276 and Jackrabbit Road PUD can provide the most beneficial action by limiting the amount of water going down the drain as much as possible. Showers, use of toilets, and brushing teeth are acceptable but all use of water should be minimized with the waste water treatment plant is down. Refrain from bathing, washing clothes, and using your dishwasher. If you experience a sanitary sewer backup, contact MOC at 281-347-8686.

All HCMUD 136 customers have safe drinking water. Water supplied by HCMUD 136 is safe and continues to meet all federal guidelines as required by law.

Also refer to the WWTP FAQs found in  Documents / Operations  folder.
